Donald Trump’s Ex Marla Maples on His Attack on Ted Cruz’s Wife: The World Is ‘Better’ When ‘We Can Keep the Peace’

Donald Trump turned heads with a tweet many considered to be an attack on fellow presidential candidate Ted Cruz’s wife. Now Trump’s second wife Marla Maples is weighing in.

On Wednesday, Trump tweeted a meant to suggest that his wife Melania is more attractive than Cruz’s wife Heidi, with the meme placing a less-than-flattering photo of Heidi next to a photo of Melania.

“I think it is wonderful. I am very happy for her and think she will do very well,” Trump, 69, said in a statement.

Trump and Maples, 52, were married for six years. They split in 1999 and are parents to 22-year-old daughter Tiffany.
