Let’s Talk About Sex: Gwyneth Paltrow Spills on Inspiration Behind Goop’s Non-Toxic Lube

Gwyneth Paltrow wants your sex life to be non-toxic – in more ways than one.

Paltrow, 43, stopped by Chelsea Handler‘s new Netflix talk show Chelsea, where she revealed the inspiration behind Goop‘s first sex-themed issue.

“The reason we decided to do our first ever sex issue, it was inspired by another Netflix show called Grace and Frankie, where Frankie makes her own homemade lube,” she explained. We started thinking about, ‘Is lube toxic? Why is she making homemade lube?’ ”

After doing some research, Paltrow and her team decided to create their own brand of lube.

“It goes in very absorbent areas,” said the actress. “So, yes, we found a non-toxic, organic lube that we are now selling.”

The actress also explained the importance of a new pelvic-floor trainer available on the site, saying it’s especially useful for women who have had children.

“The muscles there – they’re sort of look like baskets and if you tighten your pelvic floor, you tighten the whole situation down there,” she explained.

Along with the lube and pelvic-floor trainer, Goop shoppers can also find a range of sex toys varying in prices from the Fetish Fantasy Gold Beginner’s Fantasy Kit for $37.99 to the $15,000 24-carat gold vibrator.
