Reynolds recently crashed a press junket for Hugh Jackman’s latest film, Eddie the Eagle. However, he used the opportunity to take a few more shots at Deadpool’s universally panned appearance in X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
Taking a fake fan question from a “Bryan Bleynolds” in Vancouver, he asks, “I heard that on X-Men: Wolverine you had specially designed lifts put in your shoes so you would appear taller than one of your co-stars. Is this true or just a silly fact?” Jackman says that it was indeed true. Even after raking in $130 million over the weekend in his solo film, Reynolds still won’t let it go.
During the interview, the two stars also reference their PEOPLE Sexiest Man Alive titles.

The two have engaged in a public fued over their comic book characters, Deadpool and Wolverine, in recent weeks. Reynolds took the first shot in a promo for Australia Day when he joked he couldn’t forgive the nation for gifting the world Wolverine. Jackman fired back, telling reporters that the mutton chopped X-Men could “one hundred percent” take down the Merc with a Mouth.
Despite their rivalry, it appears to be all in good fun. Both actors have acknowledged their respect for one another and continue to give hope to the possibility of seeing their superhero alter egos on the big screen together.
