Wearing basic black, Adidas sneakers, and her hair pulled back in a simple updo, Kate went for a casual look to return home after a day of sailing in Portsmouth, England, on Friday.
The casual ensemble was the Duchess of Cambridge’s third outfit of the busy day spent supporting the 1851 Trust charity, which helps young people experience sailing, be exposed to jobs in the fields of science and technology and care for the environment.
Kate launched two initiatives with the charity geared towards exposing children to the sport and technology of sailing.

“We were all really impressed, she’s clearly done a fair amount of sailing before,” Olympic sailor Sir Ben Ainslie told PEOPLE. “She had a feel for the boat. It’s a really high-powered racing machine and to be able to steer one of those at close to 40 mph for even a skilled sailor is a real challenge and she did a great job. We had a wonderful sail.”
