Shania Twain Responds to Ashton Kutcher’s Ranch Joke with a Reference of Her Own: ‘Next Time You’re Lonely, Don’t Call Me’

Shania Twain has a great sense of humor to go along with her voice.

The country icon jokingly sparred with Ashton Kutcher on Friday, soon after the debut of his Netflix series, The Ranch, in which his character made a few jokes about Twain.

“Apologies again, Miss @ShaniaTwain. I had no inhibitions, made no conditions and definitely got out of line. @TheRanchNetflix,” Kutcher, 38, tweeted first, referencing Twain’s ’90s mega-hit “Man! I Feel Like A Woman!”

(His Ranch character made a very NSFW joke referencing the song.)

Taking Kutcher’s nod and doing him one better, Twain, 50, tweeted back, “next time you’re lonely, don’t call on me. Try the operator, maybe she’ll be free” (referencing another of her big ’90s hits “Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under?”).

To which Kutcher responded, “Note to self: Shania Twain… not easily impressed.” (Can you guess that one?)

@aplusk next time you’re lonely, don’t call on me. Try the operator, maybe she’ll be free. @theranchnetflix

But it was all in good fun, Twain later tweeted.

Having some laughs with @aplusk! 🙂 Good luck with “The Ranch”! https://t.co/vil0fAYbQK
