The Talk co-host tells PEOPLE she has strong feelings about those who try to steal undeserved attention away from those who’ve earned it, like her fellow co-hosts, who won a PCA for favorite daytime hosting team and were rudely interrupted by audience member Zacari Nicasio during their acceptance speech.
“It’s like, ‘You know what? You want five seconds of fame, go and earn it,'” she says of the rude young man, who brags about being a serial party crasher. “Don’t go rain on somebody else’s parade. This ain’t your time kid, get off.'”
“It annoyed me because we were so excited to be there, so excited to have won and Sarah [Gilbert] was giving her speech and it was her time,” Osbourne, 63, continues. “She produced the show, she thought of the show, it was her time and for some want-to-be to come on and try and get attention during our time, it was like, ‘Nah. You picked the wrong group of women to do this with, sorry.’ You say you love music? Why didn’t you pick this when one of the music artists were on, not on our time when you saw five ladies that do daytime TV, you thought that we would be a pushover, that’s why you chose us. He didn’t think he’d get his ass whipped.”
While Osbourne says she does not regularly kick people in the rear who annoy her, nor does she condone the behavior for everyday occurrences, it was an effective expression of her annoyance caused by the young man’s rudeness.
“I feel really strongly about things like that where people try and get attention with no talent, no nothing and they try and barge in on someone else’s spotlight,” says Osbourne. “It was basically like f—k off, who the hell do you think you are? F— off.”
Osbourne’s actions received an enthusiastic round of applause from the audience and support online.
“It was all support, not the ‘Oh you shouldn’t have done that to that poor young man,'” she says of the reactions to her swift kick. “I’m glad. I thought, ‘Oh lord, I’m going to wake up and everybody is going to think I was so cruel’ and I didn’t get that so I’m relieved today.”
Moments of rudeness aside, Osbourne went on to say that she and the rest of her Osbourne clan are happy and healthy.
“Everybody is good. Jack is in Cuba with Ozzie, they’re filming a TV show there and Kelley is here at CBS, she’s doing an episode of CSI: Cyber,” she says. “Everyone is good, working and behaving.”
And that includes the family’s youngest member, her granddaughter Pearl
“Oh my lord, she was down on the set today with Kelley and I and she’s just the best.”
