A 6-month-old golden retriever is smiling through an interesting doggie dental procedure.
The pre-teen pooch named Wesley was recently equipped with braces, according to ABC News.
The Harborfront Hospital for Animals in Spring Lake, Michigan, posted a photo of the pup’s new look on Facebook, with a few reminders about pet dental health.
“February is National Pet Dental Health month, so we thought this was a good time to let you know about the importance of your best buddy’s dental health,” the clinic’s post, which has been shared more than 270,000 times, reads.
Wesley got his own set of canine train tracks after his crooked teeth prevented him from eating or playing with his toys. The golden’s owner, Molly Moore, told ABC News that the dog is adjusting well to his new gear and is still as puppyish as ever.
The braces are only a temporary addition and should be coming off some time in the next couple of weeks.
